Safety & Prep: Wear a mask (N95) and gloves. Remove floor mats and large debris, then vacuum the entire interior thoroughly using a vacuum with a HEPA filter to capture airborne spores.
- Initial Treatment: Steam Fog affected areas with Concrobium Mold Control before steaming
- Steam Cleaning: Use a dry vapor steamer to steam clean carpets, fabric seats, door panels, and upholstery. Hold the steamer 1–2 inches from the surface to penetrate fibers. Use a brush attachment for heavy mold.
- HVAC System Treatment: Steam into the AC vents and intake (usually located under the windshield cowl) to kill mold inside the ventilation system.
- Wipe and Extract: Immediately wipe down surfaces with a clean, dry microfiber cloth to remove loosened mold and moisture. Use a wet/dry vac or car extractor to remove excess water from carpets and seats.
- Dry & Sanitize: Leave windows down and use fans to ensure the interior is completely dry. Use an ozone generator or car heater for 15–30 minutes to kill any remaining spores and remove musty odors.
